Legal Writing Workshops offered by Fleming's Fundamentals of Law

You are in law school.

Now what? You want to earn the grade and make the cut, so you must master the analytical and writing skills that form the foundation upon which effective legal writing is built. The Writing Workshop identifies and demonstrates the three skills that you must master as a prerequisite to producing an effective passing essay examination. Why You Need The Fleming’s Writing Workshop

The ability to analyze is the pure essence of legal training. It is often referred to as “the ability to think like a lawyer.” Analysis is the professional skill that must be developed and nurtured from the first day of law school. The Fleming’s Writing Workshop teaches you how to analyze and write your way through your essay examinations.

What The Legal Writing Workshop Will Provide For You

Provides 12 hours of intensive exam writing techniques;
Provides essay examination analysis (including issue spotting techniques, issue headnotes, factual analysis and proper interpretation of “Calls of Questions”;
Provides outline/organization techniques within the purview of the call of the question (including identification of major/minor issues and fact to element application);
Provides a sentence by sentence analysis of five in-class hypotheticals;
Structures adversary arguments within the IRAC format;
Explains the “Do’s and Don’ts” of writing a successful exam answer; and
Provides each student with the opportunity to write and submit three essay writing samples for critique by our attorney readers

The Writing Workshop Course Materials Include

A comprehensive Writing Workbook, containing over one-hundred-and-fifty pages, that includes fifteen practice essay hypotheticals with samples of outlines and answers.
The material is exclusive and available only through FFOL.

Home Study Writing Workshop

For those students who cannot attend the live presentations of the Fleming’s Writing Workshop, Fleming’s offers a CD audio course that follows the live writing workshop program described above. Home Study students are provided with the same course materials and the same writing opportunities as profiled in the live Fleming’s Writing Workshop.

Group Registration Price

Group rate is available to groups of five or more who register together at least one week before the designated seminar. Group price is $200 per person. Contact our office for details here.
